About artist

Jung Seung
Can memories become life?

Jung Seung is an artist-researcher whose work explores how memory, data, and technological systems can become conditions for artificial life. His practice spans robotics, artificial intelligence, real-time systems, interactive installation, and generative media.
Since 2016, he has developed the Life Architect Project, a long-term body of work that investigates how externalized memory can be transformed into behavior, rhythm, and relation. Rather than treating data as a record to be visualized, he uses it as material that can influence the movement, response, and development of artificial entities.
A central concept in his recent work is the Digital Pulse. It refers to a generative rhythm that emerges when memory and environmental information are translated into computational processes. Through this structure, individual works operate less as fixed objects and more as evolving systems that respond to people, space, and other nonhuman agents.
His recent projects increasingly focus on artificial ecology and on how nonhuman forms of perception can acquire a physical body through robots and other material systems. Across these works, Jung asks how technological entities can develop their own modes of behavior, relation, and existence beyond simple simulation or representation.
